My name is Mark Vodrey, I am married to Anne-Marie (Our Club Treasurer) with two children Jake and Ellie-mae and I manage the U10’s otherwise known as “The Lions”, I am also the Vice Chairman. I work for Crewe B&Q as an Expert Plumber. I started my Coaching career with Crewe Town FC in June 2018, my wife is a Committee member/Treasurer and the U8’s Manager. I offered to help out with the Mini Kickers, I coached them for a few weeks then an opportunity arose where a vacancy came up to manage the U8s, it was an opportunity I grabbed with both hands, I’ve always enjoyed football and I am a die hard Man Utd fan so to be able to coach a side that has so much potential was too good to turn down. Been a Manager is the most satisfying job I can honestly say I have had, win draw or lose, the smiles you get when the players come off the pitch after a match is the best tonic in life! I never thought that 24 months ago I would be devoting all my spare time with a football Club, I know I’ll be doing the same for the next 12 months and more. Jake my Son is also in my team which makes it extra special seeing him progress week in week out, I have three fantastic Coaches in Chris (my brother in law), Gary and Dave. Its great that we all share the same philosophy. I recently earned the FA L1 in Coaching which will only enhance the training and coaching I do for the U10’s and I am looking forward to gaining my L2 shortly. Crewe Town FC is family friendly, fantastic environment to work within, and other than my personal family, I have also a great Football Family, Onwards and Upwards “The Yellow Army!” You can read my Personal Coaching Philosophy here.
My name is Christopher Lloyd. I am in full time employment as a Wireman. I am engaged to Jess and soon to be married. I started my hobby playing football when I was about 8 years old after I attended a weekend open day at Crewe and Nantwich Football Club, where at the end of it I received a trophy for been the best defender, I was hooked. I soon joined Rail Crewe Tigers as a Centre Back. I jointly Manage the Men’s Team The Jaguars. I joined Crewe Town FC initially because my nephew Jake plays for the U10’s and I wanted to share my experience to help him progress with his football. Mark (my brother in law) then joined as Manager to make it a family orientated side. Since been at this Club I’ve enjoyed helping the kids and to see their smiles when they progress with their football is great. I enjoy coaching them and seeing them take that into matches is fantastic to watch. Once you have joined “The Yellow Army” you won’t want to leave!
My name is Gary Hancock and I coach the U10’s. I am married with 2 children, Aiden my Son plays for the U10s. My Wife Theresa is a Committee Member and front of house Admin. One of the main reasons I became a coach was for my son Aiden as I wanted to help him become a better football player, and as time has gone on, helping others reach their potential has been really inspiring. Helping the team progress week in, week out has been very rewarding and seeing the smiles on their faces after training and matches makes all the hard work worthwhile. Why did I choose Crewe Town FC, simple really, everyone at the Club is friendly, they have helped me settle in as a Coach and offered advice when needed. I will be shortly attending an FA Accredited Goalkeeping Course so I can be the Clubs Goalkeeper Coach. It feels like one big happy family and I know in the future there is bigger and better things to come from Crewe town FC, The Yellow Army!
Hi, my name is Dave Williams and I am married to Carol and we have two fantastic boys Benjamin 8 yrs old and Joshua 6 years old who both play for Crewe Town FC for the Lions and Pandas respectively. I work for British Gas as an Engineer. I joined Crewe Town FC Coaching staff with a view to help young people gain additional life skills through football and exercise. I have previously managed sides in the South Cheshire Youth League. My passion for football has always been youth sides and that has been for over two decades! I have been lucky enough to see young players grow into accomplished adults, developing respect for others and determination through their development in football. I want to continue to use the skills I have learnt over the years to give young people the opportunity to continue to enjoy learning through football. I believe every child should be given the chance and with the right environment that can happen. I am dedicating my time to help Crewe Town FC, the amazing Yellow Army Family to keep moving in the right direction…I am a qualified FA L1 Coach and currently am striving towards gaining my L2.
Hi, my name is Mark Dunning and I manage The U10’s Allstars. I have a 4 year old Son called Cameron and currently work at GIST. I have supported Crewe Alex for as long as I can remember and have followed them through the good times and also bad times, as true supporters do. I follow them all over the country. My Brother Andrew and myself started Crewe Allstars in January 2017 as we wanted to try and get more kids into football and give them the happy experience football has provided for us as individuals and as a family with our father too. (Our Dad helps out with the Goalkeepers at training). We took the decision this year to join up with Crewe Town FC as it gives us the chance and scope to improve as a Club and and both Mark Owen and Mark Vodrey share the same vision as me in moving forward. One of my passions is Futsal which is an area I will be pushing hard for this year for the Club. In a short period of time I have felt very welcome within the Club as it certainly has that family freindly feeling and i know the future certainly looks bright for all.
Hi, my name is Scott Thomas and I am delighted to have become the U10’s Assistant Manager. I am a father of three and to be involved Coaching the team that my son Lekai plays for feels great. To have a more hands on role instead of just watching and to be able to see at close hand this team develop further and have success is a challenge I relish. Football is a passion of mine and has been since I was a youngster….leading me to support Liverpool FC. I work at Bombardier another great institution in Crewe which I hope Crewe Town FC will become. My hobbies include going to the Gym, travelling and boxing.
I am excited for the future with Crewe Town FC which is a great Community footballing family who have the right set of values, and that is making sure every child enjoys playing football and has a smile on their face doing so! I am looking forward to the many exciting challenges that lie ahead.

I started my coaching career with Crewe Town FC when I was asked to help with The Tots. This season I am very happy to be taking up a coaching role with the U10’s and as my Son plays for them as well it feels extra special. I have played football all my life and have played for many teams either as a defender or midfielder. Hi, my name is Steve Bell, I am 38 years old and I am a Financial Analyst. I was born in Doncaster. I have two children, one of whom Euan plays for the Allstars and I have a long term partner. I am like many of the Coaches within the Club a lifelong football fan despite not been a great player. Moving to Crewe Town FC from Allstars is for sure a great move for all involved and knowing there background means we will receive more support and the future certainly looks bright.
